Magistrate Theresa Hamilton will sit on the Dubbo/Bourke circuit of the NSW Local Court from January 7, one of three circuits operating in the region, the NSW Department of Justice reports.
Her arrival comes with the relocation of magistrate Paul Hayes, who will be headquartered at Burwood from next week.
He had presided at Dubbo Local Court and at Nyngan, Cobar, Warren, Gilgandra and Peak Hill, having been appointed to that circuit almost two years earlier in January 2017.
Magistrate Gary Wilson, who was on the Dubbo/Bourke circuit, will switch circuits to replace Mr Hayes.
Ms Hamilton was sworn in in September 2017.
Magistrate Claire Girotto remains on the Dubbo/Walgett circuit, which also includes courts at Narromine, Wellington and Lightning Ridge.
