A severe to extreme heatwave is forecast for much of the Central West and Orana region this week with temperatures set to soar high.
Temperatures in Dubbo, Forbes, Narromine and Parkes are predicted to hit 40 degrees on Thursday and Friday, before dropping to the high 30s on the weekend.
