Music Miss gave Nestor and Cavallo a fright before the race when she threw her jockey in the mounting yard.
But, Cavallo was good enough to recover from the tumble and win the Bus Back to the Commercial Benchmark 50 handicap over 1310 metres by more than three lengths on the day.
Cavallo rode the four-year-old mare skillfully and crossed the line ahead of second-placed Prince Roo.
Music Miss, Nestor and Cavallo have had a successful December, winning a Class 1 Handicap (1200m) earlier in the month.
