The 41-year-old accused appeared via video-link before magistrate Gary Wilson as the Crown and the defence provided the update on the case.
The woman was refused bail almost 12 months ago after she was arrested at Geurie by detectives attached to Strike Force Toora and charged with the single count of murder in January.
Strike Force Toora had been investigating the death of the 20-month-old boy in March 2015 at Neilrex, about 60km south of Coonabarabran.
No pleas have been entered to the charge, and the woman has remained remanded in custody ever since.
In November the Crown sought further time to respond to a defence application to call witnesses at a committal hearing.
The defence had noted her client was bail refused.
The matter had been adjourned to allow the discussions on the defence’s Section 91-93 application.
This month the Crown told the court the parties had reached agreement about three expert witnesses to give evidence at committal.
“The evidence is probably likely to take one and a half days,” the DPP solicitor said.
The parties were seeking a listing for that purpose and then a listing six weeks later for submissions, with transcripts at hand, she said.
The parties sought May 15 and 16 as the dates of the first listing and a subsequent date where the same magistrate was available.
Mr Wilson adjourned the matter to May 15 and 16 and made the second listing on July 2.
The defence confirmed it was sought for the accused woman to appear in person before the court.
Mr Wilson then addressed the woman directly, saying her matter was adjourned to May, and the accused responded.
“May,” she said.
“Ok, thank you.”
