Dancers aged 20 months to 18-years-old performed an array of genres under the theme ‘stepping back in time’.
Stepping Out Dance Factory director Rikki Slack-Smith said the 20th anniversary concert was inspired by the idea that “memories take us back and dreams take us forward”.
Three-year-old Aria Crooks, seven-year-old Emma Fraser and eight-year-old Charlotte Hall said they all enjoyed performing at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on Sunday.
Aria said it was both exciting and fun to be a doll in the Angelina class in her first dance concert.
Emma and Charlotte both performed in several dances at the concert.
Emma said her favourite dance was the opening, as she got to wear tinsel jackets.
Charlotte said dancing was her favourite pastime and was most excited to have been part of the Nutcracker-themed ballet segment.
Ms Slack-Smith said she was incredibly proud of her student’s performances.
“This concert has been about celebrating the year but it has been especially special to me because it is celebrating 20 years,” Ms Slack-Smith said.
“For me it’s gone by in a beautiful blur and I’ve been so blessed to have so many children dance through my doors.”
