A charge of armed robbery where a Dubbo service station attendant was allegedly held up by a man with a weapon described as a tomahawk has been mentioned before a magistrate.

Jonathon Michael Hardy, 40, of Brewarrina appeared in Dubbo Local Court via video link from a correctional centre.
He is charged with robbing the female attendant of a Cobra Street service station of $282 and a mobile phone while being armed with the offensive instrument, described as a tomahawk, court documents show.
The offence allegedly occurred about 6.30am on August 2.
An unrelated charge against him of aggravated assault with intent to rob was also mentioned.
Mr Hardy is accused of assault with intent to rob a woman and at the time of the robbery using corporal violence against her on August 12.
Both matters will return to the court again on January 9.
