New counsellors have been appointed in Dubbo, Coonabarabran/Coonamble, Bathurst and Parkes. While two vacant positions have been filled in Broken Hill and Bourke.
The appointment of new rural financial counsellors across the region is from the further drought measures put in place by the federal government to support farmers as they tackle the ongoing affects of the extended dry period.

Alistair Murphy will be on hand to help in Dubbo.
He will assist eligible clients understand their finances. The services include access to financial information and options, empowering clients to make their own decisions on how to effectively manage change and adjustment along with providing referrals to other service providers.
Mr Murphy spent 14 years in agribusiness in northern NSW, most recently with Agfarm.
