At Trangie Central School our whole team believes that wellbeing is at the heart of everything. If you get that right first, then everything else will follow.
As a staff we have worked hard to identify what works best in our school to improve student wellbeing at Trangie Central School. We have a focus on high expectations, student engagement, working with the community, developing a positive school culture and staff wellbeing.
We also believe passionately in the power of the creative and performing arts, including dance and murals, to help increase student engagement. We have developed and sustained a positive school culture by setting high expectations in all areas of school life, from uniforms and behaviour through to language and work ethic.
It is our belief that our success can be attributed to the strong relationships that exist between all members of our school community and the respect we pay to all cultures in our school.
At Trangie Central School we believe strongly in our responsibility to contribute actively to our community, not only for the health of our community but also for the wellbeing of our students.
It is a well-documented fact that people who make a contribution and work with others for the sake of others feel a sense of worth and value, and this is essential for mental wellbeing.

The school has established itself as an integral part of the local community and staff have worked diligently over the last nine years to establish an effective and constantly evolving culture of wellbeing for learning. In Trangie now, school is community, and that is a key part of our success.
Trangie Central School also takes great pride in the aesthetics of our school. Improving the school’s physical environment has contributed tremendously to higher levels of student pride in the school and levels of engagement, with several beautiful murals being installed, and we have Jack Randell to thank for his work in creating these for us.
Trangie Central School is a true community resource and at the heart of a beautiful community. It is a place where students feel safe and valued, and it is a school they are proud to say they attend.
Our professional, university-educated teachers encourage students to develop a love of learning and a desire to succeed. They maintain the highest integrity and concern for your child’s wellbeing, so take the time to get to know our school staff as we're all here to help.
