The men in red won by seven wickets in the double bonus point victory at No. 2 Oval.
Colts produced a controlled effort with the ball despite missing key bowlers Tom Atlee and Rhys Beauchamp.
Bede Young did a job again, snapping 2-32 from his eight overs, while Grant Malouf stepped up to take the new ball and repaid that decision but picking up the key wicket of Jason Green (6).
The returning Chris Killen (29) and Ricky Medway (28) both made starts before falling to the spin of Greg Buckley and then leg-spinner Marty Jeffrey knocked over the lower order.
Jeffrey finished with 4-34 from seven overs while Buckley claimed 2-13 from eight as the Blues were restricted to just 9-139 from 40 overs.
With a low total being defended by a Macquarie attack which has struggled to make wickets this season Colts was always the favourite, but just winning wasn’t enough.
Emma Hughes managed to knock over Jeffrey (0) and Wes Giddings (15) early on but the Colts batsmen continued to take it to the Blues bowlers.
Matt Keenan, stepping back up to firsts after some time in second grade, kept the runs ticking overs while Buckley banged a quick 22.
Brad Cox then joined Keenan and the pair raced to the total, helping their side pass the Blues in just the 2oth over.
Keenan finished 50 not out while Cox made 41 not out.
Keenan’s knock included nine boundaries while Cox his five fours and a six in his knock.
Hughes finished with 2-35 while Dan Medway took 1-25.
Colts sits six points clear at the top of the ladder while Macquarie remains fifth.
