Mr Dickerson has already opened a campaign office in Wellington, and plans to open others in Narromine and Mudgee.
However, the candidate said even when he was Dubbo mayor, he didn’t want to sit around in an office and would encourage then-general manager Mark Riley to ‘kick him out’ if he had been sitting at his desk for too long.
“If people see me in this office here, see me sitting in the chair twiddling my thumbs, answering a few emails then I’m doing the wrong thing. I need to be out there in the community,” Mr Dickerson said.

He's driven almost 20,000 kilometres across the electorate and Mr Dickerson said in every community, the issues and needs were different. In Dubbo, the low unemployment rate had been discussed, while in Trangie it was the impact of the drought on business.
Mr Mason and Ms Fardell both gave their support to the Independent candidate. Ms Fardell said she believed in Mr Dickerson, comparing him to champion Winx in the political horse race.
The office was opened on Mr Mason’s 90th birthday and he said he hoped Mr Dickerson would still be Dubbo’s MP on his 100th.
