The machine, which is used for mining and quarry operations, was delivered to the Certificate III Heavy Vehicle apprentices on Thursday.
EMS group workshop manager Pete Edwards said he grew up in Dubbo and attended TAFE in Dubbo so now that he was the workshop manager for EMS Group the donation was a great way to give back to his community.
“We are thrilled to donate the Teledyne Rock Breaker to the TAFE NSW Dubbo heavy vehicle section. The machine will be practically utilised by students to enhance their learning on machinery systems currently operating in both surface plant machinery and underground mining machinery,” Mr Edwards said.

Heavy Vehicle head teacher Paul Chaseling said it was great EMS Group recognised the pivitol role TAFE played in training tradespeople that were crucial to the mining and civil construction industries.
“Pete is a great example of the real-life and exciting career opportunities that studying at TAFE NSW can provide and we can’t thank him and EMS Group enough,” Mr Chaseling said.
“This support will give our students access to another important piece of machinery to develop and refine their work-ready skills on.”
