The results from the marriage law postal survey vote was a defining moment in the nation’s history.
Most Australians will know where they were on the morning of Wednesday, November 15, 2017 to hear statistician David Kalisch announce the result.

In the Parkes electorate 52.7 per cent of respondents voted YES while 47.36 per cent voted no. A totakl of 78,516 voted in total.
Fifty four point six per cent of the respondents from the Riverina voted yes and 45.4 per cent voted no.
Calare has voted in favour of same-sex marriage with a whopping 60.2 per cent of respondents ticking the ‘yes’ box.
The state and national average for respondents were 57.8 per cent and 61.6 per cent respectively.
