In Dubbo, one of the almost 200 locations it will be held, the program to boost digital skills will be run through the Western College.
“Older people often experience higher rates of social isolation and mobility issues, especially in regional areas, which is why we are empowering seniors to learn how to use computers, tablets and smartphones to stay connected online,” Minister for Ageing Tanya Davies said.
Ms Davies said Tech Savvy Seniors has supported thousands of seniors to boost their digital skills, with more older people trained than anticipated thanks to an increase in the available places from 6,500 to 9,000 each year.
