The two benchmark 66 events appear the pick of the seven races on the day while there were big numbers for a class 1 handicap, class 1 and maiden plate, and maiden handicap, with 30, 30 and 29 nominations received respectively.
Last-start winners Cadman, Taking Liberties, Escebee, and Hu Hit Hu were all put forward for the benchmark 66 sprint event over 1000m.
As expected, there was a strong representation of local trainers with the likes of Clint Lundholm, Connie Greig, Kody Nestor, and Garry and Dar Lunn just a handful of the Dubbo trainers set to be on show.
The crowd is expected to be even bigger this year given Dubbo and District Cricket Association has created a general bye across all grades given the desire of most people in the city to attend the meeting.
Final fields will be released on Thursday.
