Dubbo is experiencing above-average top temperatures in the final days of October including 31 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 29.8 degrees on Wednesday.
On Thursday the Bureau of Meteorology was forecasting a top of 31 degrees come the afternoon.
Current daytime temperatures in the city are akin to its average maximum temperature in December of 31.4 degrees.
Dubbo’s average maximum temperature in October is 25 degrees and in November 28.7 degrees.
The bureau’s seven-day forecast for Dubbo as of Thursday suggests a run of warm days.
It predicted the top temperature of 31 degrees on Thursday would be followed by 30 degrees on Friday and Saturday, 28 degrees on Sunday and Monday, and 31 degrees on Tuesday.
In the same period minimum temperatures will range from 11 to 14 degrees.
The average minimum temperature for Dubbo in October is 9.4 degrees, November 13.5 degrees and December 15.9 degrees.
At 9am on Thursday the city had received 90.4 millimetres of rain this month, almost double the average rainfall for October of 45.6mm.
The seven-day forecast includes a 20 per cent chance of a shower on Monday and Tuesday.
