A man who was armed with a knife outside a licensed premises was one of 13 people that police arrested and charged in Dubbo between Friday and Sunday.

Orana Mid-Western Police District police officers arrested the 13 people for charges including malicious damage, assault, offensive language, goods in custody, breach of bail conditions and stealing.
One male was charged over possession of a knife and being armed with intent.
Orana Mid-Western Police District Commander Superintendent Peter McKenna said an incident with a male outside the licensed premises first began early on Saturday morning.
“In one incident about 1.30am Saturday morning a male was removed by security from a licensed premises in Dubbo,” Orana Mid-Western Police District Commander Superintendent Peter McKenna said.
“The male was involved in an altercation with security.
“He returned to his accommodation where it is alleged he retrieved a large black handled knife and re-attended the licensed premises.
Superintendent McKenna said the man returned to the premise to engage again with the security guards.
“At this time he was attempting to entice security to fight him whilst he was armed with a knife,” Superintendent Peter McKenna said.
“Police were called and took the male into police custody, recovering the knife from him.
He returned to his accommodation where it is alleged he retrieved a large black handled knife and re-attended the licensed premises ... At this time he was attempting to entice security to fight him whilst he was armed with a knife.

“He was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with being armed with the intent to commit an indictable offence and possession of a knife in a public place.”
