A MAN has been arrested by police following an armed robbery in a retail store in Dubbo.

Orana Mid-Western Police District officers were called to a Cobra Street store on the afternoon of Friday, October 12 following reports of a robbery.
“Around 3.40pm a 23-year-old Dubbo man attended the adult entertainment store, Flirt, located on Cobra Street,” the police report states.
“He produced a large knife and threatened a 20-year-old female employee and demanded cash from the till.
“The employee handed over a substantial amount of cash to the bandit who then ran from the store.”
Police then attended the scene and were able to view the incident on the store’s closed circuit television (CCTV) footage.
A broadcast was then made over police radio and officers patrolling in the are located the man in a nearby street.
While some of the cash from the robbery had already been spent by the man, most was recovered by police.
The man was arrested and charged with armed robbery.
He was refused bail in Dubbo Local Court and will be remanded into custody till December 12, 2018.
