Team Rubicon utilises the skills of Australian Defence Force veterans to help in emergency situations, such as the drought.
The organisation was one of the first to be approached by Prince Harry and Meghan during the Picnic at the Park. They spoke about the work they were doing to assist local couples during the drought.

Kat Wanna said the royal visit would lift everyone’s spirits, including the farmers.
Mark Dobson said it also helped to give a boost to their volunteer veterans.
“There’s a bit of synergy between how farmers and veterans would feel,” Mr Dobson said. Both were impacted by the circumstances, he said.
Prince Harry is a member of Team Rubicon in the United Kingdom. He has worked with them during relief efforts in Nepal. Team Rubicon is also volunteering at the Invictus Games.
