Manera Heights Apartments, Shearing Shed Motor Inn, Old Dubbo Gaol and the Dubbo Visitor Information Centre have gone through to the finals in their respective categories.
Manera Heights and the Shearing Shed are both finalists in the Standard Accommodation section, competing alongside the Lodge Outback Motel in Broken Hill and Heritage Hotel Motel in Dorrigo.
The Dubbo Visitor Information Centre is up against six others to be named the best in Visitor Information Services, while Old Dubbo Gaol is up against stiff competition for Cultural Tourism.
Western NSW Business Chamber regional manager Vicki Seccombe said it was a huge achievement to be named as a finalist.
“Each business has been through an extensive judging process which includes submitting a large submission outlining areas such as business planning, marketing, tourism excellence and sustainability. The submission is judged by a panel of judges and the finalist also has a site visit from a different judge to verify claims and see the venue & meet the tourism business,” Ms Seccombe said.

Dubbo Regional mayor Ben Shields offered his congratulations to the businesses.
“It’s wonderful to see our local businesses recognised for the quality services they provide to our visitors which plays a significant role in why Dubbo is widely considered one of the best tourism destinations in NSW,” Cr Shields said.
“To have four organisations from Dubbo recognised is a very strong endorsement of Dubbo’s tourism industry.”
The winners will be announced at the 2018 NSW Tourism Awards presentation and gala on Thursday, November 22 in Sydney.
