Wool Producers Australia vice-president and Yass woolgrower Ed Storey, strongly opposes a Government regulation approach to mulesing in Australia and says if they were to tell producers how to manage their sheep it will lead to negative outcomes.

NSW Primary Industries Minister Niall Blair has urged the Australian merino industry to take ownership and keep the public informed on what is happening, otherwise someone else will fill the void.
Ranchers are ready to sort:
From October 12-14, more than 700 runs will be held during the finals weekend of the Dubbo Ranch Sorting event. Approximately 80 competitors from Sydney, Tamworth, the Hunter Valley and beyond will take part.
