CSU Advancement Office associate director Annemaree Binger said there were more than 300 scholarships available to students but they were often overlooked as a way to ease the costs associated with study.
“Many scholarships go un-awarded because people assume they won’t be successful or are not eligible for financial support,” Ms Binger said.
“If you’re working to support yourself and this cuts into study time, that’s financial hardship.”
Ms Binger said time should be taken when filling out the application forms and all questions should be answered with more than one sentence.
“It’s not as hard or as time consuming as you think. Seventy-five per cent of students say it’s easy, so apply now,” she said.
Applications for the CSU Foundation Scholarships can be made online. Details are available at the CSU Foundation Scholarships website.
