More than 10,000 kilometres have been traveled on the campaign trail by the independent candidate in the state election Mathew Dickerson.

When Mr Dickerson announced he was standing in the election in May he promised to visit every locality in the electorate. Since then he has been driving an average of 100 kilometres per day.
“I am receiving invitations from all across the electorate and I am also knocking on doors at various farms, businesses and houses across the electorate,” Mr Dickerson said.
“I have received incredibly positive responses from everyone I have met with so far and everyone is pleased that I have made the effort to spend time with them. Some visits take only half an hour but there are times when a visit might go for a couple of hours.”
The candidate has traveled from the most northern point of the electorate at Gin Gin to Dandaloo in the west, the Lue Action Group in the east and gone over the electoral boundary to Kandos. He’s been to the post office at Eumungerie and the graveyard at Stuart Town, a pub in Goolma and the wind farm at Bodangora.
Mr Dickerson said he was incredibly grateful people had been incredibly generous with their time.
“I will continue to travel the electorate right up until the election and then, if I am elected, I promise that I will continue to travel the electorate to stay in touch,” he said.
