With some of the most individual players to take part in Wednesday’s massive finals gala day, the Victorian school turned on the style and scored a 32-16 win over St Clare’s High School, of Taree.
RELATED:
With five players who were part of the Victoria Thunderbolts Mal Meninga Cup team earlier in the year, Mount Ridley proved far too strong and far too fast for the Taree side.
The side from Victoria was taking part in the Country Cup for the third year running, after the CRL allowed southern sides to take part to boost the game further in the state.
Elsewhere on Wednesday, a 20-point haul from captain Will Holley fired Tenterfield High to victory in the under 13s Small Schools final.
Kiama High won the Country Cup under 13s decider, downing Gosford’s St Edward’s College, 16-8.
