Two men have been charged over the alleged murder of Ricky Ciano, whose body was found in a vehicle in a luxury car near Oberon on Valentine’s Day in 2017.

Just before 8pm on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, police and emergency services located the body of a man in a white 2015-model BMW M3 sedan on Duckmaloi Road, Duckmaloi, 15km from Oberon.
The man was formally identified as 35-year-old Queensland man, Ricky Ciano, who was visiting Sydney and reported missing the day before, when he could not be contacted by family.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad established Strike Force Kiaka to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mr Ciano's death.
Following extensive investigations two men, aged 33 and 44, were arrested at a correctional facility at Silverwater on Thursday, July 26.
The 33-year-old man was charged with murder.
The 44-year-old man was charged with murder and tamper with evidence with intent to mislead judicial tribunal.
Police will allege in court the men gave Mr Ciano a cocktail of prescription and prohibited drugs, which were at fatal levels, and then drove him to Duckmaloi, where they abandoned his car with his body inside.
Both men were remanded in custody to appear at Lithgow Local Court on Friday, July 27.
