Lachlan Meurer is holding a trivia night for the Horizon Project, which assists communities in Nepal and south-east Asia. The money will go towards the construction of a multi-purpose community hub in Kathmandu.
“People can’t seem to get enough of Marvel at the moment so it’s an excuse to dress up and have a lot of fun in the process,” he said.
“I don’t want people to come to an event and go ‘oh well, that was boring but at least we gave money’. I actually really believe in putting on events that people have so much fun at and all the money is going to charity.”
Despite the superhero theme and the push for people to dress up, Mr Meurer said the trivia night was targeted at adults. There would also be a range of questions, so even people who weren’t Marvel fans could attend, he said.
The trivia night will be held at the Generocity Church on Saturday night, starting at 7pm. Food and drink will be available, however it’s a drug and alcohol free event.
