The Panthers copped a 50-18 hiding in Brisbane on Friday night to make it four losses from their last five games.
The loss put them level with four other top-eight sides on 11 wins and saw them nudged out of the top four with six rounds remaining.
But in a campaign that has ebbed and flowed, captain James Maloney believes the Panthers have time on their side to become an NRL finals force.
While unhappy with the effort – Brisbane ran riot with five first-half tries – Maloney said the situation was far from critical.
"I'm probably not as concerned about it as you guys seem to be," he told media post-game.
"We've got six weeks to go and we'll need to be playing our best in six weeks.
"A lot changes (in that time); I'd be more concerned if we were humming and doing everything right (now), because I'd have doubts we could hold it for another 10 weeks.”
Wellington product and NSW Origin star Tyrone Peachey made his return for the side, the impact player running rings around the Broncos defence and nabbing one of his sides three tries.
