The event, hosted by Dubbo Regional Council, will see the Dubbo Filipino community take part in the singing of both the Philippine and Australian National Anthems during a flag raising ceremony before coming together for a morning tea.
Jose Jacinto Morales from the Philippine Consulate in Sydney will visit Dubbo to take part in the ceremony.
Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Ben Shields said he was proud of the multicultural community in the region.
“We have a very strong Filipino Association who make a vibrant contribution to our region and I’m really looking forward to celebrating with them on Saturday.”
While the official date for 120th Anniversary of the proclamation of the Philippine Independence Day fell on June 12 the occasion it is often celebrated throughout the entire month of June.
