Public school students from Bathurst, Cudgegong, Forbes, Mudgee, Trangie and Dubbo competed at West Dubbo Primary School on Wednesday.
Dubbo South Public School’s Kate Pankhurst received a highly commended award. Adjudicator, Janice Monk said Kate showed, “really fine talent”.
Max’s said he loves “to speak in front of people”. He spoke about the need for Australia to accept refugees. On winning Max said, “I’m really excited, I didn’t think i’d win”.
Ms Monk said Max was “full of vitality” with “really mature ideas” and with Max set to represent, she was “really excited for our region”.
