Mr Shields said Anzac Day is one of the most important days on our national calendar, and should be treated as such by the community.
“Anzac Day is a special occasion that is not only important for veterans and their families but for the whole community,” he said.
“There are a number of services being held around the region and I hope the community takes this opportunity to quietly reflect on those who served, and continue to serve, our great nation.”
Aside from Dubbo, services will be held in Wellington, Eumungerie, Gollan, Stuart Town, Geurie and Mumbil.
