The acoustic tour ‘Heartbeats’, will see Pete travel to more than 20 cities across the country over three months.
Pete and his three-piece band will be playing at the Macquarie Inn on Thursday, August 23.
Pete said playing at a pub style venue was “a lot of fun.” The band includes Pete, plus another guitarist and bassist.
“It’s got a very stripped back vibe,” Pete said.
He said Dubbo audiences should expect three-piece harmonies, a lot fun and a good mix of songs.
The tour has already seen some shows sold out.
“At some of the shows we get anywhere from 500 to 1000 people, so it’s not too big,” he said.
Pete said at the smaller venues it was easier to connect with audiences.
Pete said taking the ‘Heartbeats’ tour to Dubbo will be a good experience for the musician and local fans.

The tour celebrates his latest, ARIA award-nominated album Camacho, which debuted at number three on the ARIA charts.
“The new album came out last year and is starting to take track,” he said.
Pete said he was looking forward to kicking off the tour, which commences in June.
“Touring, that’s how you build a an base,” he said.
Die-hard fans will be interested to know that Pete will play a range of his new and old songs.
“I’ll be playing fan favourites songs including Opportunity, So Beautiful and Better Days.. they’re embedded into fans, so to leave them out I wouldn’t make a lot of fans,” he said.
The Heartbeats tour wraps up a few days after the Dubbo show and Pete said he planned to do a few international shows.
Pete has also dropped a stunning remix of his song Heartbeats, by ARIA-awarding winning Peter Mayes from PNAU.
A music video for the remix has also been released, which is a short film seeking to inspire audiences to cherish the love they share with others while they still can. The video was filmed in Pete’s hometown of Byron Bay.
