Next time locals are shopping at any Dubbo Woolworths store they can simply add a $2 Easter egg shaped wall token or purchase a raffle ticket.
All of the funds raised through the purchase of the tokens and raffles will help the children’s charity in their ongoing efforts to help children across the state who are facing challenges through illness, disadvantage or a disability.
If you’re shopping at Orana Mall Woolworths you’ll most likely spot Dubbo resident Joan Clare selling the raffle tickets.
Ms Clare has been volunteering for several years now and says it is a great initiative to support.
“It’s good because it gets you out of the house and allows you to meet new people and it helps Variety,” Ms Clare said.
The Dubbo Woolworths staff said they’s be “lost without the generous help of the volunteers.”
Almost $1000 has been raised just through the raffle.
