Improving access to services and facilities for people with a disability will be the focus of a new disability inclusion plan to be launched on Monday.

The Western NSW Local Health District will launch the plan during its inaugural Disability Awareness Week.

Western NSW LHD chief executive Scott McLachlan said there were 55,000 people with a disability in the district and he wanted them and their carers to be treated with respect.
