Just after midnight, police attended an address on Fitzroy Street after receiving information about a vehicle believed to be linked to a break-and-enter at the Armatree Hotel on Friday morning.
“Plain-clothed Orana Mid-Western detectives pursued the vehicle on Fitzroy Street, onto Boundary Road and then onto Macquarie Street,” Inspector Keith Ridley said.
“The vehicle was then followed onto Bultje Street, then to Church Street east where the vehicle was lost sight of.
“The vehicle was located a short time later in Armstrong Crescent, dumped, and the vehicle was recovered and towed for examination.”
Inquiries are continuing at the Fitzroy Street and Armstrong Crescent addresses, Inspector Ridley said, with police still trying to find the persons of interest.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Dubbo Police on 6883 1599, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
