The furry duo found themselves inside a wall cavity at a local business.
Coming to their aid was one of two jobs involving cats for the Dubbo Rescue Squad in the past week.
The squad is the agency responsible for rescuing domestic animals.
Captain David Chenhall said they went on to the roof of the building to locate the two kittens, and were then able to reach them.
On Saturday the squad was called to a cat down a Macquarie Street drain.
A tiny feline rescued from a sewer pipe near Westhaven late last month has landed on her feet.
Westhaven posted a photo to social media of the kitten, named ‘Piper’, saying she was doing well and loving her new home.
