A large crowd of eager customers flocked to Orana Mall on Sunday to snag a bargain at the event, which mall management now plan to make a quarterly event.
With 26 stalls on display, there was something for everyone, and Orana Mall centre manager said the event worked well for stallholders, customers and the mall’s retailers.
“We trialled it a few weeks ago just to make sure it didn’t impact on the retailers, and also to make sure Dubbo wasn’t over-marketed with the other markets that are on,” Ms Redden said.
“The key for us was that we wanted the stalls to feature handmade items or things from their farms.
“What we’ve found is that people go exploring through the different stalls, and they pull up and have a chat with people and it creates a gorgeous atmosphere.
“We’re going to let Christmas and New Year get out of the way, because they are busy times as it is, and we’ll look at doing the markets again in February.”
