In 2016, Orana Relay For Life saw over 615 people flood Barden Park, Dubbo to raise over $64,955 for Cancer Council NSW in the fight against cancer.
This year, the committee is hoping to raise $70 000 for the event which will again be held at Barden Park, Dubbo on October 28 and 29.
Relay For Life is an empowering, overnight community event that everyone is welcome to come along and participate in.
This year there will be plenty of activities for the whole family such as an inflatable obstacle course, Tug of War, face painting, rugby skills games, combat archery and so much more.
There will also be performances by Stepping out Dance Factory, Spreagadn ne Rince, Zumba with Tracy, Issac Compton, Sarah Head and not to mention the incredible Killing Heidi.
What could be better than adding a theme to the mix, Orana Relay For Life 2017 theme is ‘athletics’.
Think retro ‘80s gear with fluro headbands, short shorts, leotards and tights.
Participants will be comfy and fabulous as they complete the Relay in their best active wear.
As always, prizes will be awarded for the most creative and unique team costumes and camp site decorations.
Relay is about having a good time for a good cause whilst raising funds for Cancer Council NSW and the vital cancer research and support services that the organisation provides for those affected by cancer and their loved ones.
