Inspector Dan Skelly of the Orana Local Area Command said CCTV footage reveals three people entering the Federal Hotel between 4-4.30am on Thursday, September 14.
“We believe three people forced the door of the Federal Hotel off, broke the ATM out of the floor, put it on a trolley, wheeled it out to a car and took off,” he said.
“We believe they are three males – we have CCTV footage but they were all in trackies and hoodie get-ups with their faces covered.”
Inspector Skelly said a witness observed a silver car leaving the hotel at the time of the robbery, however police couldn’t confirm if it was involved.
“...but that’s the only lead we have at the moment,” he said. A crime scene was established at the hotel as investigations continue.
Police encourage anyone with information to call the Dubbo Police Station on 6883 1599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
