The Fabregas x Miss Taro offspring took his fifth win with an 18.2 second run in the Ladbrokes Odds Boost Stakes (318 metres), easily justifying his $1.50 favouritism.
Tony Taro had to come from behind after Flatlined ($29.90) shot across from box eight to lead but hit the front before coming onto the home straight and taking a 1.5 length win.
The Pamela Braddon-trained Zeb’s Magic ($8.10), who wore the number nine but started from box four after Just Like Jazz was scratched, was second.
It was a $41.80 outsider, Dana Makin, who rounded out the placings as she finished 4.25 lengths behind the winner.
The win was part of a double for Dubbo trainer Smith, who also had Queen Taro win in the Signvision Dubbo Stakes (400 metres).
Queen Taro ($2.10 favourite) was able to avoid trouble and take the lead from box eight and went on to take a comfortable win, 6 ¼ lengths clear of Rival Glen ($13.50) and Super Kadami ($6.70).
All A Miss was expected to resume her winning ways in the Like Us On Facebook Stakes (318 metres) but the $1.60 favourite had to settle for third as Rodney Keeping ($7.60) took the win from May Tell ($9.50).
It was the first win since April for Charmaine Roberts’ Rodney Keeping.
