The young leaders finished job week by running a car wash at their Welchman Street headquarters.
Twelve Scouts and five leaders and parents lent a hand at the event held as a fundraiser.
Motorists who brought their cars for a clean enjoyed a snack while the Scouts aged 8 to 14 years put the sponges and vacuum cleaners into action.
Sharyn Simmons, 1st Dubbo Scouts treasurer, said a lot of people were really impressed with the work the young people did.
“It was good for the kids to hear that from other people,” she said.
“They interacted and were doing something different to normal Scouts activities.
“Having Scouts, Cubs and Joeys altogether was a different experience.”
The 1st Dubbo Scouts will use the money raised to buy new equipment.
Anyone interested in Scouts is welcome to come along to a meeting or two to find out more.
