On Sunday Beau Webster and Lisa Spinks will begin a 98 kilometre trek along the Larapinta Trail for the worthy cause.
“We’re nervous but excited,” Lisa said. “It’s been such a long process to get here. With the money we’ve raised we’ve been blown away and we’re just looking forward to coming back and sharing it with everyone.”
They’ll cap off their efforts with a Masters Rugby League Carnival, organised by the Cohoe Roosters, and charity auction on July 1.
“That should put us over $25,000, which is amazing seeing as we started with a goal of $5000!”
