Book fair coordinator Peter Bartley said it will be the biggest book sale Dubbo has ever seen.
“We already have 11,000 books sorted and priced and in the past couple of weeks we’ve collected another 2000,” he said.
“We think Friday we’ll see another thousand or more come in, so we could have towards 15,000 books.”
He said there is a variety of books to satisfy all readers, from cooking and gardening to drawing and sport.
“There is a very expansive cricket collection including a two-volume set of Donald Bradman newspaper articles,” Mr Bartley said.
“Then there’s books on Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting, all the Tests over 100 years – so anyone interested in cricket this collection will just be amazing.”
The book fair will be held on Saturday, May 6 at St Brigid’s Church Hall on Brisbane Street from 8am until 4pm.
