The Dubbo woman welcomed the staffy-mastiff-cross puppy into her family in time for Valentine’s Day.
“I fell in love at first sight,” Amber Baker said.
“[He’s] a cutie.”
The eight-week-old pup was one of 12 animals to be re-homed when Petbarn Dubbo held its pet dating event in the lead-up to February 14.
Petbarn Dubbo store manager Thomas Adams said the day proved a huge success.
“The event which aimed to raise awareness of the importance of pet adoption in saving pet lives, as well helping to find new homes for animals in need, received a great response in the local Dubbo store,” he said.
“In partnership with RSPCA NSW, four dogs and eight cats were re-homed on the day through the Petbarn Dubbo store.”
He said even though the pet dating event was over for 2017, they still encouraged people looking to add a pet to their family to consider adoption first and to stop by Petbarn Dubbo, one of 115 stores that offers pet adoptions all year round.
