Not only did his Wellington Phoenix side suffer a 3-1 defeat to Sydney, further denting the club’s finals hopes, but Tratt’s record of having played every minute of the season came to an end.
The local junior was substituted after suffering a tough afternoon against the competition leaders.
Making the result and substitution was the fact Tratt was promised for a big game, having previously been on the books of the Sky Blues before moving across the Tasman to link up with the Phoenix.
The Wellington club now sits eighth on the ladder, two points off the top six.
The task doesn’t get any easier this weekend, with Tratt and his side taking on the fourth-placed Melbourne City on Saturday night.
The side had a hit-out at Westpac Stadium on Tuesday night, taking on Beijing BG in the Capital Cup.
