Member for Dubbo Troy Grant unveiled the upgraded bridge on Monday.
“The replacement of Dripstone Bridge on Burrendong Way will allow heavier vehicles to use this significant livestock freight route, eliminating detours of up to 40 kilometres.
“This vital infrastructure upgrade will not only benefit locals but provide primary producers with better connectivity to and from the area and greatly benefit the local economy,” Mr Grant said.
The project received $1.05 million from the NSW Government’s Restart NSW Fixing Country Roads program.
The program provides targeted funding to local councils for projects that will eliminate connectivity constraints on local roads.
