Gray made 115 for his side but it almost wasn’t enough as Macquarie Blue gave a mammoth run chase a real shake.
But Dylan Hamilton claimed 5/18 to ensure there were two individual milestones on the day.
Gray’s knock was the undoubted highlight of the Newtown Gold innings of 241.
After being 3-67, Matt Ball (66) and David Elder (45) piled on the runs but their departure ended the faint hopes and the innings finished at 9/228.
CYMS Green youngster Callum Giffin made his second meaningful score for the season to help his side defeat Rugby Red at John McGrath 2.
Josch Connelly (33), Montagu Hicks (24 no) and Kieran Rosenbaum (24) had earlier helped Rugby Red post 8/161, with Ben Moreton and Duncan Bourke taking two wickets each.
Giffin, following his round one century, then made 59 at the top of the order to help his side reach the target with one over to spare.
A 93-run stand between Mike Coward (52) and Wayne Cole (48) led RSL-Colts Red to a 33-run win over South Dubbo Green at Lady Cutler South 3.
No other played could score more than 12 in Colts Red’s total of 171 as Jordan Murphy (5/36) tore through the lineup and produced a star effort with the ball.
Tristan Ward then played a lone hand in the run chase and made 80 but his side fell short and were all out for 138, with wickets shared.
Rugby Blue scored a dominant win on Saturday, rolling an understrength CYMS White for just 41 before reaching the target for the loss of just three wickets.
It took less than seven overs for Rugby Blue to reach the paltry total.
Mark Scullard and Justin Gavin starred on Saturday as Macquarie White scored a convincing 40-run win over Newtown Black.
Gavin showed he’s still got it as he top scored with 86 in his side’s total of 9/224 before Scullard ripped through the Newtown middle order and finished with 5/32 from eight overs. Mitch Lincoln (3/32 and 29) performed well in the loss.
Joe Coles starred with a five-wicket haul on Saturday as Souths Gold edged out RSL-Colts White.
Coles took 5/26 from seven overs to help knock Colts over for 137, with Garry Ashford’s 42 the only meaningful score.
There was nervous moments in the run chase as Sam Bass took 4/18 but Greg Taylor (41), Hamish Fairall (28no) and Scott Russell (24) helped the Green side win.
