The Waratahs will clash with the ACT Brumbies on February 4, much to the delight of Mid-Western Regional Council Mayor Des Kennedy.
“This is an exciting opportunity for our region. To have two national rugby union sides playing right here in Mudgee is phenomenal. I am extremely proud we’ve secured this event,” Mayor Kennedy said.
“Hosting a union game of this calibre will attract enormous local support and will see people travelling from other regional locations to participate. We hope the local community will get behind the game and come out and support the teams. It is up to us to make this a success to ensure they keep coming back.”
