The deadline to lodge a nomination is 5pm, Friday September 16.
Event organiser Jan Grady said with the deadline looming the pressure was on to nominate those who deserved an award.
“All these women who have been flying under the radar, they deserve to be nominated and this is the opportunity to do it,” Ms Grady said.
Sandra Sully has been announced as the MC for the Women Out West Awards presentation evening, and Ms Grady said she was excited for the news presenter to come on board.
There are 17 award categories.
“A lot of them are emotive awards. They might relate to people who are carers and have been through adversary and came out the other side, they might be a matriarch, they may have had a great achievement.” Ms Grady said.
The organiser encouraged people to take the time to read the criteria for each category.
“They can be nominated in more than one category because, let’s be honest, women are multi-skilled. And if by any chance somebody wants that little bit extra, call me. I don’t want someone to miss out,” Ms Grady said.
For those needing more time, Ms Grady can be contacted on 0429 821 425 or by emailing jangrady@innovent.com.au.
Nominations are open to women in the Orana, Central West and Far West regions.
