The minor premiership winning Cowboys showed why they finished as minor premiers with an entertaining 41-18 win over the Nyngan Tigers.
Black scored a hat-trick while the versatile Staggs scored a double from lock and was in the thick of all things good for his side.
“We trained all week for this and now we’ve got to the grand final,” Staggs said.
“It’s been so long since we’ve made a grand final and hopefully we can get the win in the grand final for the supporters.”
Much of the damage was done in the first half, with Staggs’ double coming within the first 10 minutes.

The Cowboys went into the sheds leading 26-8 and they continued their attacking play in the second stanza, with Black reaping the rewards from his dangerous dummyhalf play.
The Cowboys now have a week off while Nyngan will play Forbes next week.
