Trangie trainer Colin Williams will be hoping Wyembah Charlie’s last run was just a hiccup as he prepares for Thursday’s Buck Fever At Stud Stakes (605m) at Dawson Park.

After two successive wins at Bathurst, Wyembah Charlie lined up again at the track on August 1 but it was disappointing as he finished at the back of the pack.
That event was over 450m and Williams will be hopeful the step up in distance brings the best out of his two-year-old, who has won over 618m at the Bathurst track in the past.
Wyembah Charlie heads to Dubbo with seven wins from 24 career starts and will be one of the favourites in Thursday’s event, along with the likes of Nangar Flame and Zipping Harry.
Nangar Gem won last start, a resounding at Bulli on July 30.
Thursday’s 11-race meeting at Dawson Park gets underway at 12.12pm while the last will leave the boxes at 3.342pm.
