In a thrilling contest in front of a large Sponsors Day crowd, the visitors rallied from a 10 point deficit in the final quarter of the match to level things up at 30-all.
But Cox’s penalty ensured the parochial home supporters left for their charity function at the Narromine USMC in good spirits and kept the team in touch with the top five just three weeks out from the semis.
After the match at their jersey auction fundraiser, the Jets cleared $12,000 in proceeds.
The money will be split evenly between the Narromine Cancer Support Group, Narromine VRA and the Betty Orth Memorial Unit for children’s diabetes at Dubbo Hospital.
